Family Promise

Trinity Episcopal Church is a host congregation for Family Promise of Monroe County, Pa.

Family Promise is a non-profit, non-denominational organization for homeless families in transition and part of a national organization founded in 1986.

Family Promise provides a place for shelter, meals, and support services to families without homes through a network of local congregations. The hosting of families rotates weekly among 13 host congregations in our local network.

As a host congregation in this rotation, Trinity Church provides lodging at the church, thee daily meals, and caring hospitality in the way of activities, conversation, and relaxation 4 times a year. Family Promise works with the parents toward achieving education, employment, and housing.

Support congregations assist the host churches by providing volunteers and whatever the host church requests in order to enhance the families' stay.

Family Promise is in need of volunteers in the way of individuals, support congregations, and host congregations.
